Quality Assurance (Automation + Manual)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering.
5-7 years of experience in QA, including manual and automation testing.
Experience in enterprise applications / ERP / SaaS platforms.
Strong experience in workflow-based systems.
Strong expertise in test case design, exploratory testing, and workflow validation.
Experience with tools such as Selenium / Playwright / Cypress.
Programming knowledge in Java / JavaScript / Python.
Framework design experience is preferred.
Exposure to tools such as Postman / Rest Assured / Insomnia.
Strong skills in API validation and JSON/XML handling.
Strong in SQL queries and validation of data integrity and backend consistency.
Experience with JIRA.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins / GitHub Actions.
Reports to ERP Architect / Tech Lead and works closely with developers, Product Manager, and Business Analyst.

Technical Skills

Automation tools: Selenium / Playwright / Cypress.
API testing: Postman / Rest Assured / Insomnia.
Languages: Java / JavaScript / Python.
Database: SQL validation and backend data checks.
Test management: JIRA or similar tools.
Version control: Git.
CI/CD: Jenkins / GitHub Actions or similar.
Strong understanding of regression testing, exploratory testing, and workflow validation.

Main Duties:

Understand business requirements, technical architecture, and ERP workflows.
Create test strategies and test plans covering functional, integration, and regression testing.
Identify high-risk areas such as compliance deadlines, approvals, and workflow dependencies.
Perform functional testing of ERP modules and end-to-end workflow testing.
Validate complex business scenarios and multi-role workflows such as admin, compliance officer, and accountant.
Conduct exploratory testing for edge cases.
Ensure accuracy of financial and legal data flows.
Design and develop automated test scripts for UI and APIs.
Build scalable automation frameworks.
Automate regression suites and critical workflows such as compliance filings, approvals, and calculations.
Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines.
Validate REST / GraphQL APIs.
Perform data validation between database and API responses.
Test integration points with third-party APIs and government portals.
Test multi-step approval workflows, RBAC, and document lifecycle flows.
Ensure correct escalation and notification flows.
Conduct basic performance testing, including API response times.
Identify bottlenecks in workflows and support load testing efforts.
Log clear, reproducible bugs and track defects through the lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers for quick resolution.
Prioritise based on business impact.
Work closely with the Product Manager and developers for requirements clarity and early testing.
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint demos.
Use Gen AI as a force multiplier.
