Assistant Team Leader – Business Development

6. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and compliance standards.
  • Support KYC/AML documentation review (if applicable).
  • Identify potential compliance risks and report to management.

7. Process Improvement

  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
  • Assist in implementing new systems, procedures, or regulatory updates.

8. Reporting & Administration

  • Monitor dashboard and preparation of any other reports for management, where applicable.
  • Assist in performance evaluations of team members.

9. Support to Sales & Marketing Team

  • Provide accurate turnaround timelines and documentation requirements to support sales efforts.
  • Assistance to sales and Marketing Team by preparing necessary memos, fee schedules amongst others.
  • Conduct any other cognate duties as assigned by your reporting line.

 Qualifications:

  • Degree in the relevant field (Marketing/ Business/ Management).
  • Disciplined, methodical and good interpersonal skills.
  • 4-6 years of experience in the global business sector, preferably in the business development or day to day client administration of files.
  • Excellent knowledge of structures.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing and business development techniques and principles, and 
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods. 

Main Duties:

1. Operational Support

  • Managing the end-to-end entity set-up process (pre-incorporation, incorporation, pre-onboarding with banks, bank account opening and handing over to operation team).
  • Prepare, review and verify incorporation/bank account opening documents including documents for residence permits, amongst others.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of all setup activities.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate tasks within the team.

2. Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Support the reporting line in supervising team members’ performance and productivity.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior staff.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues and escalating complex matters when necessary.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on team output.

3. Handover to Operations Team

  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation prior to handover.
  • Conduct proper briefing to Operations Team;
  • Minimise post-handover errors and clarifications.

4. Relationship Management

  • Ensure prompt and professional communication with authorities and stakeholders.
  • Handle queries and provide status updates on applications and registrations.

5. Knowledge of the Job

  • Maintain strong knowledge of company incorporation procedures/bank account opening/residence permits, licensing requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Stay updated on changes in corporate laws, compliance requirements, and government regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and clarification to team members.
  • Support internal training initiatives.
