Web Developer & UI/UX Designer

Web Development

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize responsive websites and landing pages.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into functional, high-performance code.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Manage CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or similar).
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Web Development, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4 – 5 years of experience as a Web Developer, UI/UX Designer, SEO Specialist, or similar digital role.
  • Programming Languages: HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
  • Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
  • Fluent in English/French (writing and speaking).
  • General knowledge of the Mauritius financial services sector/Global Business segment would be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic.

Main Responsibilities

UI/UX Design

  • Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for websites, landing pages.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to improve user experience.
  • Ensure consistency in design systems, branding, and visual identity.
  • Optimize user journeys to enhance engagement and conversion rates.

SEO & Performance Optimization

  • Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, headings, structured content, internal linking).
  • Improve page speed, Core Web Vitals, and technical performance.
  • Conduct keyword integration in collaboration with marketing teams.
  • Monitor and improve rankings using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues (broken links, redirects, duplicate content).
  • Strong visual design sense (layout, typography, color, spacing).
  • Ability to create clean, modern, and professional interfaces.
  • Experience designing for both desktop and mobile environments.
