Manager - Operations

Corporate Secretarial Role:

  • Be conversant and updated with the different Acts and Legislations in Mauritius.
  • To ensure accuracy and quality checks on all deliveries by the team.
  • Monitor the organization of Board, Committee and Shareholders’ meetings and ensure that notice and agenda and Board packs are properly drafted and sent to clients and attending Board meetings as required.
  • To draft and/or review minutes of meetings and resolutions including coaching of junior staff with minutes drafting skills.
  • Be the guardian of the relationship with your client as well as his primary and main point of contact.
  • Understanding of the client’s business and ability to identify and / or provide value added services, where required; and
  • To ensure that all entities are in compliance with all relevant laws, licensing conditions, regulations and guidelines and that deadlines are met.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Either a Degree in Finance and Accounting, Law and Management, Business Administration, or a Professional Qualification (ICSA/ACCA/CFA/STEP).
  • 6+ years of working experience within the offshore sector with at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role; and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
MAIN DUTIES
  • Lead the ongoing development of a professional and achievement focused workforce and culture.
  • Design and lead corporate strategic change initiatives across the organisation.
  • Provide the Chief Operations Officer with timely and accurate advice relating to the activities of our client companies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of services strategic and operational plans and performance measurement that promotes accountability and success.
  • Provide visible and effective leadership.
  • Conduct any other cognate duties as assigned by the Reporting line.
Accounting Role:
  • Be conversant and updated with IFRS.
  • Be the leader of the audit process – Managing Audit process from start to sign off.
  • Be the final reviewer.
  • Be the guardian of the relationship with your client as well as his primary and main point of contact. Understanding of the client’s business and ability to identify and / or provide value added services, where required.
